In 2005, the finale was held in Bolesławiec’s Market Square. The performers included the instrumental group Orbital, Orkiestra Dęta Bolesławiec, the Jutrzenka band, the Canon dance group, students of the Yamaha music school, and the Wrocław group Solas An Lae, which demonstrated Irish dancing. The head of the headquarters was Zdzisław Abramowicz, and PLN 37,000 was raised.
In 2006, there was a stage in the Market Square, while hip-hop groups performed at Pegaz: ZSP Abstrakt, Lili, Kategoria, WRZ & R.A.Z., and Jaro Beatbox. The following performers appeared at the Old Theatre: the “Na Boku” cabaret, the “Tygrys Ogłuszony Domem” group, Grupa Działań Animacyjnych, Paweł Tumiło with Katarzyna Szurgot, and the “Tuatha deh Danaan” Irish dance group. For the first time, the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy finale in our city was organized by young people associated with the Bolesławieckie Centrum Wolontariatu MISIO and KAH. PLN 33,000 was raised.
In 2007, there were no performances or concerts on Sunday, yet volunteers raised PLN 20,000. The finale was organized by the Stowarzyszenie Promocji Kultury i Sztuki Bolesławca i Miast Partnerskich “KAH”.
There was no finale in Bolesławiec in 2008. But the following year, you would not believe who organized the finale together!
In 2009, Bogusław Nowak, Paweł Apanasewicz and Krzysztof Gwizdała travelled to Warsaw to the main headquarters of the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy. They managed to obtain posters bearing Jurek Owsiak’s autograph and a photograph of the WOŚP angel. There were one hundred such photographs across Poland, and one of them was auctioned right here. Jurek sent his greetings to Bolesławiec.
An original nativity play was staged in the foyer of Bolesławiec Town Hall. Alongside students from Gimnazjum nr 2, Mayor Piotr Roman (as St. Joseph) and his deputy Maciej Małkowski (as a shepherd) appeared on stage. We raised over PLN 44,000. The head of the headquarters was Krystyna Juszkiewicz.
In 2010, performers at the finale included Engines Of Creation (Bolesławiec), Glinolood Band + Alek Mrożek (Wrocław), the Fari group (Leszno), Joel Beucher (Bolesławiec), and The Dreamers – a young rock band from Bolesławiec. Luz Blues (Bolesławiec) also wrote a song-hymn for WOŚP volunteers especially for that year’s finale. Over PLN 51,000 was raised; the head of the headquarters was Bogusław Nowak
In 2011, the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury became the patron of the event. The late Robert Dudek became head of the headquarters. Nearly PLN 67,000 was raised. The main event of the 19th Finale was organized in the sports hall of I Liceum Ogólnokształcącego. Bolesławiec bands, young people from MDK and students from the “Tierra Flamenca” dance school performed on stage. There was military-style pea soup and bigos.
In 2012, the Incas had predicted the end of the world, while the 20th finale in Bolesławiec was organized amid difficulties. In the end, it brought more complaints than money. Everyone unanimously claimed that the problem was the head of the headquarters: Henryk Jasiński. In January, one of the volunteers, Janina Majewska, notified the authorities of suspected criminal activity during the WOŚP Finale in Bolesławiec. She informed the prosecutor’s office of the head of the headquarters allegedly misappropriating money collected during the fundraiser and items intended for auction. The prosecutor’s office discontinued the case. Despite this, over PLN 50,000 was raised.
No finale was organized in Bolesławiec from 2013 to 2016.
In 2017, Stowarzyszenie Blues nad Bobrem and Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury organized a concert as part of the Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy at the Old Theatre; volunteers from the headquarters in Nowogrodziec collected donations. Approximately PLN 15,000 was raised in Bolesławiec.
In 2018, the finale in Bolesławiec was jointly organized by the City Office, BOK-MCC and the Młodzieżowa Rada Miasta; Michał Szwed was the head of the headquarters. A record PLN 84,000 was raised.
