The published asset declaration shows that Kamil Barczyk currently combines three significant public and professional roles. He is the director of the Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej in Bolesławiec, a specialist at the Wielospecjalistyczny Szpital Samodzielny Publiczny Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej in Zgorzelec and a councillor of the Lower Silesian Regional Assembly.
Barczyk is also a politician of the Polish People's Party, representing the party in the regional assembly.
Over one million zlotys in income during the year
The declaration shows that in 2025 Kamil Barczyk received:
- PLN 726,550.04 from business activity involving the provision of hospital management services,
- PLN 131,009.66 from an employment contract and personally performed activities,
- PLN 16,866.00 from a contract of mandate,
- PLN 63,329.00 from renting apartments,
- PLN 58,492.74 for serving as a regional assembly councillor,
- PLN 33,810.00 for providing security on real property.
This totals PLN 1,030,057.44 in income reported in the asset declaration. The calculation does not include a PLN 100,000 gift from his parents, which was also listed in the document.
High healthcare earnings under scrutiny
The remuneration of doctors, healthcare managers and people running public medical facilities has been the subject of a nationwide debate for several days. The media are reporting contracts worth tens or even hundreds of thousands of zlotys per year.
The published asset declaration shows that the income earned by the director of the Bolesławiec hospital exceeded one million zlotys last year.
Real estate, savings and liabilities
Barczyk also reported PLN 50,000 in savings, a house in Zgorzelec, three apartments in Wrocław, a building plot, a 2022 Mercedes C-Class and liabilities including mortgage loans and a car lease.
Still no answers regarding MEDASK and the hospital's finances
The publication of the asset declaration comes as a public discussion continues about the financial situation of the Zespół Opieki Zdrowotnej in Bolesławiec and the facility's cooperation with MEDASK.

The dispute has reached the court
Due to the lack of a full response to some questions concerning the hospital's cooperation with MEDASK, the istotne.pl editorial team brought the matter before an administrative court. The complaint concerns the performance of obligations arising from the Act on Access to Public Information. The proceedings will determine whether the hospital properly answered all the questions and whether the requested information should be disclosed. The case is awaiting consideration by the court.
