The results?

The operations resulted, among other things, in entry being refused to Poland for nearly 500 foreigners who did not meet the entry requirements. The spokesperson said: – The most common reason was the lack of required documents. These individuals included citizens of countries outside the European Union, including Ukraine, Turkey, Russia and Syria.

What is the situation with migrants?

Officers of the Nadodrzański Border Guard Unit also prevented migrants from making illegal attempts to cross the border towards Germany. More than 230 such people were detained. The group was dominated by foreigners from Afghanistan, Somalia and Uzbekistan.

Other violations of the law were also uncovered. Since the temporary border controls began, 180 people have been detained, including individuals wanted by Polish law enforcement authorities and people suspected of criminal offences such as vehicle theft, document forgery and goods smuggling. The value of the goods seized so far has been estimated at more than PLN 2.6 million.

The controls being carried out confirm that cooperation between the services and the presence of officers and soldiers on the Polish-German border significantly improve the level of public safety.
