We recently reported on cases of firefighters from OSP Osiecznica being robbed. After publicizing another case, we wrote:

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! What kind of person robs firefighters?! And this did not happen just once!

In this situation, it is difficult to find the right (and parliamentary) words to describe what happened on Tuesday, in the late afternoon, in the town of Sobota near Lwówek Śląski. Someone set fire to the façade of the fire station. As the newspaper Lwówecki.info reports:

When they arrived, it turned out that the fire had engulfed the grass right next to the building and the wall of the OSP Sobota station. The fire was quickly noticed and extinguished. Nevertheless, a substantial part of the façade had to be dismantled.

Fortunately, no one was hurt. Police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.

It is not yet known whether this was a deliberate act or an accident. The facts are that this is not the first incident involving this OSP station. The Lwówek-based outlet reports:

In December 2025, an unknown perpetrator effectively disabled the fire siren switch by forcing glue into the inside of the box containing it. Fortunately (...) the deliberate damage was detected during a drill to activate the alarm sirens.

Earlier, in August 2023, someone painted graffiti on the OSP façade. The firefighters from Sobota have already submitted an application to the Lwówek municipal office to install monitoring at the site.
