Hello. Here is today's situation. At around 8:50 a.m., on Wojska Polskiego, a driving school vehicle (“elka”) is heading straight toward me. I had to brake, otherwise there would have been a crash. Please publish how the instructor trains the driver. Then there are accidents.

The reader also attached video footage:

The road signs at this narrowed section clearly indicate that priority belongs to drivers traveling uphill, toward the military unit (road sign D5, priority on a narrowed section of the road).

Let us recall that a similar situation, this time involving a taxi driver, occurred at this location on January 5:

We reported on the speed bumps on Wojska Polskiego on the istotne.pl website last autumn. At that time, part of the road was closed to traffic there. The reason? Many drivers failed to comply with the sign limiting the speed to 40 km/h and treated the street like a racetrack. Readers alerted us to this.

In autumn 2023, new signage appeared on both sides of the road, for drivers traveling in both directions.

Also in autumn, we asked Paweł Bednarski, head of the District Roads Authority, about changing the signage at this location. He told us that the aim was to “calm traffic.”
