At a meeting of the Sejm Committee on Administration and Internal Affairs concerning the deaths of three men following police interventions in Lower Silesian Voivodeship—namely, the death of 29-year-old Łukasza Łągiewki (Wrocław), 25-year-old Dmytra Nikiforenki (Wrocław), and 34-year-old Bartosza Sokołowskiego (Lubin)—attorney Wojciech Kasprzyk spoke harshly about the actions of the services.

“We brought it about that in December last year the police had 44 percent support,” attorney Wojciech Kasprzyk said at the committee meeting. “I suspect that after these three cases, or even five—I don’t know whether there will be 10% public trust in the police. What is more, in the 1990s, I checked, the Polish police and the fire service competed for the highest level of public trust in this country. Can you imagine that? I cannot today,” attorney Kasprzyk commented.

The cases described by the lawyers paint a bleak picture of the police. During the online interview, viewers will be able to ask the guests questions live. Friday, October 15, at 4:30 p.m.
