At the Hall of Tradition of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, superiors, colleagues and coworkers bid farewell to Lieutenant Colonel Piotr Kobyłecki, an officer completing twenty years of service in the Bolesławiec garrison. The ceremony began with the personnel section officer reading out the decision appointing him to a higher-duty position.

Summing up the departing officer’s service, the commander of the Bolesławiec artillerymen, Colonel Grzegorz Potrzuski, emphasized his artillery skills and the professionalism he demonstrated in service:

We are saying farewell to a valuable artilleryman whose skills I had the opportunity to observe many times during training sessions and field exercises. I wish Colonel Kobyłecki every success in his new position, with satisfaction equal to that which he found in serving with the 23rd Artillery Regiment.

In recognition of his service to the Bolesławiec unit, the commander honored the departing officer with a letter of congratulations.

Addressing those gathered, Lieutenant Colonel Kobyłecki thanked them for the years of what he described as good service. He noted that he had been able to carry out his duties among soldiers who valued professionalism and the good of the service. He also referred to the final period of his service, during which he commanded an artillery squadron, and at the last gathering attended by his subordinates, he thanked them for their commitment and training efforts.

After making a commemorative entry in the Guest Book of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, in accordance with tradition, a delegation of the regiment’s officers presented the departing officer with an officer’s sabre. The final point of the ceremony was a commemorative photograph, after which the departing officer received warm wishes and congratulations from his colleagues and coworkers.
