– Sometimes our head-banging against a brick wall produces a positive effect: the position of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways and that of director Robert Radoń is slowly evolving, said Piotr Roman. This concerns, among other things, the intersection of Wróblewski and Dolne Młyny streets. “It is already on record that GDDKiA recognizes the need to rebuild this intersection. It has submitted the project to the long-term nationwide Programme for Reducing the Number of Fatalities,” the mayor added.
A roundabout is to be built at the junction under the viaduct. This is, of course, connected with the concept for developing the boulevard along the Bóbr (we wrote about it in the articles A skate plaza, bike park and city beach on the boulevard along the Bóbr? and An active zone near the viaduct). There is a chance that the cycle path will be routed so that it connects with the running path by the viaduct.

Furthermore, traffic lights are to be installed at the intersection of Cieszkowski and Modłowa streets, another accident-prone junction.
