The incident occurred on July 1. Police officers from Bolesławiec County checked a minibus carrying 24 children from local schools to a summer camp in Pobierowo. The trip organizer asked the officers to inspect the vehicle. As it turned out, rightly so. The minibus driver, a 32-year-old resident of Złotoryja, was intoxicated. He had almost half a per mille of alcohol in his system.
The man was detained. The children went to camp with another driver. The 32-year-old man from Złotoryja now faces—apart from criminal liability—the loss of his driving licence for up to three years.
