Police officers from Kruszyn received a report that someone had broken into one of the warehouses in Gromadka Municipality and stolen two batteries and a camera. The owner estimated the losses at PLN 2,000.
The perpetrator of the theft was apprehended. He turned out to be a 24-year-old resident of Bolesławiec Municipality. The man admitted his guilt. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
During operational activities, it emerged that the warehouse in question had been robbed before. The thief made off, among other things, with sheet metal and reinforcing bars worth nearly PLN 2,800 in total.
Police officers detained a 28-year-old from Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality suspected of this theft. The detainee—an employee of the warehouse owner—admitted to four thefts. The 28-year-old had previously been convicted of this type of crime. Moreover, the man will also face charges for stealing railway sleepers from a disused railway crossing in Bolesławiec Municipality. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
