The Bolesławiec City Council adopted a resolution on the disposal of shares in Kryta Pływalnia Sportowo-Rekreacyjna. The Council authorized the Mayor of Bolesławiec to dispose of 100% of the shares in the company through a non-tender sale by offering them for purchase to another company in which the Municipality of Bolesławiec holds 100% of the shares. The value of the shares in the company will be determined on the basis of the company’s financial statements for 2012 approved by the Shareholders’ Meeting, and the price should not be lower than the company’s book value.

Kryta Pływalnia Sportowo-Rekreacyjna w Bolesławcu Sp. o.o. was established as the operator of the newly built swimming pool in order to organize a fully functioning facility. This objective has been achieved. A municipal company was designated as the operator of the core activities in the project co-financed by the European Union; therefore, the acquisition of the shares by another company wholly owned by the Municipality of Bolesławiec does not affect the project’s durability.

All functions and services provided to residents by Kryta Pływalnia Sportowo-Rekreacyjna will be maintained and, where possible, expanded. The planned disposal of the shares in the small and financially weak company to a larger and financially stronger entity is intended to consolidate the capital structure and prepare it for continued operation after the project’s durability period ends.

Regarding the sale of shares in Kryta Pływalnia Sportowo-Rekreacyjna, Mayor Piotr Roman will soon meet with the president of Zakład Energetyki Cieplnej.
