Residents of Bolesławiec can breathe a sigh of relief. The District Heating Company announced on Friday, September 11, that the delivery of domestic hot water to all customers had resumed.

“Today (11 September 2026), the delivery of domestic hot water to all our customers was resumed,” ZEC Bolesławiec said in its latest announcement.

The company thanked residents for their patience and at the same time apologized for the inconvenience caused by the interruption in supplies.

Hot water returns after work on Wróblewski Street

The resumption of supplies is connected with progress on the modernization of the heating network in the area of Wróblewski Street. On Wednesday, September 9, ZEC announced that work in the first underground heating chamber had been completed.

The network was then also filled and heated. ZEC reported that this would allow hot-water supplies to be restored to residents of Kościuszki Street, Cieszkowski Street and building no. 25 on Staszic Street.

The company has now confirmed that hot-water supplies have been resumed for all customers.

Work on Wróblewski Street is still ongoing

However, the return of hot water does not mean that the entire project has been completed. Modernization of the heating network on Wróblewski Street is still underway.

This is a major reconstruction of existing infrastructure, not the removal of an ordinary breakdown. As part of the project, the overhead heating network is being replaced with a new underground network. The individual stages require further changeovers and the work to be carried out in the proper sequence.

ZEC assures that work on Wróblewski Street is continuing intensively.

For now, however, the most important information for residents is that hot water is once again being supplied to customers after the interruption. The company thanked residents for their patience and understanding.
