Police officers detained a 27-year-old man from Bolesławiec who broke into a basement in a multi-family building and stole, among other things, 300 metres of copper wire and a soldering iron. A police patrol immediately went to the scene. On one of the streets, officers noticed a man walking with a coil of wire. When he saw the uniformed officers, the 27-year-old began to flee. He was nevertheless detained in a nearby park.
The suspect tried to convince the police officers that he had found the stolen items in a rubbish container. The man was taken into police custody. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
