On January 27–28, Bolesławiec police officers conducted the “Alcohol and Drugs” operation. Officers checked 220 vehicles and detained six drunk drivers. The detainees now face up to two years’ imprisonment.
Police remind the public: anyone who gets behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or drugs poses a real threat to themselves and to the life and health of other road users. Even the smallest amount of intoxicating substances in the body leads to a drastic reduction in the ability to drive a vehicle.
