Wojciech Kasprzyk, a legal adviser and representative of Jarosław Kowalski, was questioned in connection with proceedings concerning criminal threats and information about a possible order to have someone murdered. The procedural activities—as reported by Fakt.pl—were carried out in Bolesławiec as part of legal assistance.
On Monday, the attorney organized a press conference in front of the Ministry of Justice. He was critical of the actions taken so far by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Mława, which had previously discontinued proceedings concerning threats directed at him and the murdered girl’s father. He intervened in the matter directly with Justice Minister Waldemar Żurek.
The Bolesławiec attorney points out that for many months insulting posts—more than 25,000—appeared online, along with threatening phone calls and persistent harassment (stalking).
Information about a contract killing
A breakthrough came with information presented in a Polsat News report. A former cellmate of Bartosz G. from a detention facility in Greece—a Pakistani national named Omar—allegedly said that Katarzyna G. had ordered him to murder three people, including attorney Wojciech Kasprzyk and Jarosław Kowalski.
Kasprzyk himself stressed that he does not know the full body of evidence. Media reports nevertheless indicate that the Pakistani man received photographs and home addresses of the potential victims.
Katarzyna G. arrested
In connection with new findings concerning incitement to murder, 47-year-old Katarzyna G. was arrested. During a search of her home, investigators seized phones, data storage devices and documents.
“We now have state protection”
The lawyer and his relatives have been placed under police protection. According to attorney Kasprzyk, Katarzyna G. “is still dangerous.”
– We feel truly safe, and we are grateful for that– he emphasizes.
The attorney must now report every movement to the police, while officers are guarding, among other things, his law office.
He admitted that he felt enormous stress and fear upon learning of the order to murder him—above all, for the safety of his children.
Change in procedural role
Because he was questioned as a witness, attorney Kasprzyk announced that he would no longer be able to act as representative in the case concerning incitement to murder—due to the rules of professional ethics.
He nevertheless expects law enforcement authorities to explain the entire matter thoroughly and comprehensively.
