On October 1–2, the Polish U16 Championships (the Small Janusz Kusociński Memorial) were held in Kielce. Athletes from Lower Silesian clubs won eight medals in the competition. Among them was MKS Bolesłavia representative Dawid Kopała. The athlete coached by Dariusz Marek won the Polish championship in the hammer throw. In his individual attempts, he recorded the following results: 46.54, 50.59, 52.70, and in his final attempt he sent the hammer 53.20 metres, setting a new personal best.
Other Bolesłavia athletes also placed high in the standings. Grzegorz Oślak (coached by Paweł Wiśniewski) finished eighth in the 5,000-metre race walk (27:03.40). Karolina Mrozik took ninth place in the hammer throw, while Monika Sandak finished 12th in the discus throw and 11th in the javelin throw. In the latter event, Kacper Olszewski took 13th place (he was eighth in the discus throw). The coach of all three athletes is Tomasz Markowski.
