Bolesławiec police are consistently determining the whereabouts of people wanted by the justice system. In just one day (25 August), officers detained three people who had prison sentences to serve. Since the beginning of August, the number of such arrests has already risen to 21.

Who was among those detained?

Among those detained was a 34-year-old man wanted in connection with burglaries. The court sentenced him to more than eight months in prison. A 42-year-old woman convicted of theft was also apprehended by the officers. In her case, the sentence is nearly one year in prison.

Another person detained by the officers was a 65-year-old man. He is to spend six months in prison for violating a court-imposed driving ban.

Other wanted people were also taken to prison. A 38-year-old resident of Bolesławiec has nearly four months in prison to serve for property damage, while a 39-year-old man was sentenced to one year in prison for burglaries. In turn, a 43-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who failed to pay child support has four months in prison to serve.

These are not, however, all the wanted people who have recently been detained in Bolesławiec County. Road traffic officers detained a resident of Lwówek County who was wanted by the National Prosecutor’s Office in Poznań.

The officers also apprehended a 49-year-old man wanted by the Katowice District Court and a 31-year-old man wanted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Zgorzelec.

As the police emphasize, people wanted by the justice system cannot count on avoiding responsibility. Officers are carrying out operations aimed at determining the whereabouts of such people and then detaining them and bringing them before the appropriate authorities.

Since the beginning of August, Bolesławiec police have detained 21 wanted people. They included both convicted people who were due to begin serving prison sentences and people wanted by prosecutors’ offices and courts.
