An unexploded artillery shell with a damaged fuze was found beneath the roof tiles of a building on Hutnicza Street in Bolesławiec. The shell was discovered on Friday, September 23, during roof renovations.
Several dozen people have already been evacuated from nearby homes and workplaces. Police officers and firefighters are on site.
