A 28-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County twice violated an order issued by police officers to immediately leave the jointly occupied home and a ban on approaching her mother. Each time, the woman appeared at the victim’s place of residence under the influence of alcohol.

According to information provided by the Bolesławiec police, officers had previously intervened in connection with physical and psychological violence allegedly committed by the 28-year-old. As a result, protective measures provided for by law were imposed on her – an order to immediately leave the home and a ban on approaching the victim and her immediate surroundings.

Despite the bans in force, the woman appeared twice in recent days at her mother’s place of residence. Each such act constituted a violation of the measures issued by the police officers.

After both interventions, the 28-year-old was detained by officers. She was then brought before the court twice under expedited proceedings, where she faced charges of failing to comply with the bans in force.

Police remind the public that an order to leave a home and a ban on approaching someone are tools used to provide immediate protection to people experiencing domestic violence. Violating them carries legal consequences and may result in the case being quickly referred to court.
