He stabbed the 67-year-old twice
The most serious incident occurred on the evening of March 25, 2026, in Lubawka. The 47-year-old and his female partner had been staying for several days in an apartment belonging to a 67-year-old man.
During a joint drinking session, an argument broke out between the men. According to the prosecutor’s office, the accused stabbed the host twice in the abdominal area with a kitchen knife.
The injured 67-year-old was transported to hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. An expert’s opinion states that the injuries exposed the victim to a direct risk of death or serious bodily harm.
Fire in Jarkowice
The second charge concerns an incident on March 9, 2026, in Jarkowice. According to investigators, the 47-year-old fell asleep in the apartment, leaving a cigarette burning.
It was the smoldering cigarette that allegedly started the process of burning the room’s furnishings, creating a direct threat to the life and health of many people and to property on a large scale.
He admitted guilt
The prosecutor’s office reported that the accused admitted committing the alleged offenses and gave explanations. The man had previously been convicted in court.
He is currently being held in pre-trial detention, where he is awaiting the start of proceedings before the District Court in Jelenia Góra. He faces between 3 and 20 years in prison.
