The incident occurred on June 1 in the municipality of Pieńsk in Zgorzelec County. A BMW and a Seat collided head-on. According to the officers’ preliminary findings, the 21-year-old BMW driver failed to adjust his speed to the road conditions. On a bend, he crossed into the opposite lane, where he collided head-on with a Seat driven by a 28-year-old man. The latter was injured.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. The injured Seat driver was transported to hospital. It is not yet known how serious his injuries are.
Police officers are conducting activities to clarify the exact course and all circumstances of the accident. The final causes of the incident will be established during the ongoing investigation.
