The accident occurred on 10 June 2026 in Lubiatów, in Złotoryja County. A passenger car hit a culvert and ended up in a roadside ditch. As reported by the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Złotoryja, the call about the incident was received by the duty officer at 5:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, it turned out that the driver was still inside the vehicle. No perceptible vital signs were detected. Firefighters immediately began evacuating the injured man from the car and then started cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Firefighters from the State Fire Service, members of the Volunteer Fire Service and paramedics took part in the operation. Despite the advanced rescue operation being carried out for an extended period, the man’s life could not be saved.
The road at the accident site was completely blocked for the duration of the operation. Police secured the scene and are carrying out activities aimed at determining the exact causes and circumstances of the tragedy.
