On May 26, around noon, an incident occurred at a school in Nowogrodziec. As we managed to establish, an unusual smell was noticeable in one of the classrooms. Two people – a teacher and a student – reported experiencing throat irritation.

As a result, a decision was made to move the people in the room to another classroom.

Fire service units were dispatched to the scene and carried out a detailed inspection of the building using multi-gas detectors. Fortunately, the devices detected no dangerous substances.

Sixteen people evacuated even before the services arrived. The fire service stressed that no one was injured in the incident.

Police were also working at the scene and conducting their own investigative activities. At this time, it is not known what caused the reported smell.

The most important information for students and parents, however, is that the measurements carried out showed no threat to health or life, and the services reported no injured persons.
