Officers from the Economic Crime Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, acting jointly with National Revenue Administration officers from Zgorzelec, carried out an operation targeting illegal gambling. The operation resulted in the seizure of four gambling machines and cash connected with the activity.

As officers established, one of the premises in Bolesławiec, on Gałczyńskiego Street, contained a room where gambling games were organized without the required permits. The officers undertook operational activities and then entered the selected premises.

During the inspection, police officers and KAS officers found four gaming machines. A 43-year-old resident of Bolesławiec was arrested at the scene.

The services also secured cash that may have originated from illegal activity.

The man has already been charged under Article 107 of the Fiscal Penal Code. It concerns organizing gambling games in violation of the law. This type of offense is punishable by a fine, imprisonment of up to 3 years, or both penalties together.

The illegal machines were secured for further proceedings. The case is currently being investigated by the officers conducting the proceedings.
