The incident took place on 19 April. As the police determined, the BMW driver was performing dangerous manoeuvres in a car park at a shopping centre. During the drift, a “no entry” road sign was damaged.
The offender was quickly identified thanks to CCTV footage. The officers tracked down the 23-year-old, who was fined 1,500 złoty. He also lost his driving licence for three months.
However, the intervention did not end there.
Moments later, the police officers noticed an 18-year-old driver who took the damaged road sign and... hid it in the car’s boot.
The man was also fined and had to explain the whole situation. The police remind people that both recklessness behind the wheel and disregard for the regulations can lead to serious consequences.
The officers appeal to drivers to use common sense and obey traffic rules. A car park at a shopping centre is not a place for putting on dangerous driving displays.
