As we have managed to establish, the police are handling the case of scooter users “terrorizing” drivers. We will certainly return to the topic.
Let us recall. On April 19, we quoted a post from The Bad Bunzlauer:
There used to be gangs: rockers on Harleys, mods on scooters. In the age of TikTok..., I don’t know, maybe scooter gangs?
The recording shows a group of children riding scooters across virtually the entire width of the lane. At one point, one of them—with complete nonchalance—crosses a double solid line and moves into the opposite lane.
A forum user left a telling comment beneath the recording:
I also have a recording of these boys’ antics—they rode in front of cars, attacked drivers who called them out, and kicked cars. I have photos and recordings; if the injured person is reading this, please contact me privately. The report will also be sent to the police, because it is not normal for children aged 8–15 to kick cars and ride in front of vehicles in the city center.
Unfortunately, the issue is not new. In September last year, we wrote that we received two reports concerning the same issue on a single day. The first Reader:
Please raise the issue of a group of young people on bicycles and scooters. They gathered on the lawn by Asnyka Street, at the site where there used to be a ceramic fountain, and then set off down the town toward the Market Square at high speed. The incident took place at around 6 p.m.
And commented:
Because of groups of “terrorizing” youths on the sidewalks, it is frightening to leave the house.
And added:
I am an able-bodied person, but what are elderly people supposed to do when, due to health limitations, they are unable to get out of the way of a speeding scooter or bicycle?
At the head of the group was a young man who used a warning signal, and thanks to this no one was injured.
The reader noted that he had discussed it with a policewoman, but she was reportedly busy handling another incident at the time.
About 1.5 hours later, another Reader:
This is how our youth has fun.
And sent us the following video:
We will return to the topic.
