The Dziki Patrol Foundation wrote yesterday:

Huge thanks to Police officers Sgt. Maj. Łukasz Moszczyński and Constable Piotr Wicha 👮‍♂️👏

During their night shift, they came across an owl lying in the middle of the road, most likely hit and stunned by a vehicle. Thanks to their quick response, the animal was not left without help.

The organization adds:

Despite the late hour, the police officers secured the owl and immediately transported it to us. If not for their intervention, the animal would most likely have become prey to predators or been run over by subsequent vehicles.

The bird was monitored for several days. Fortunately, it did not suffer any serious injuries. The foundation: – As soon as it regained its appetite and strength, it was able to safely return to the wild 🦉🌲

And concludes:

Thank you for the exemplary conduct of the officers from Lwówek. This is another situation showing that the Police in Lwówek Śląski not only care about people’s safety, but also about the welfare of animals and can respond appropriately in such situations.

Respect for your dedication and heart in this work! 💪 Thank you! 🙏

This is another recent operation by uniformed officers in which they managed to save an animal. Let us recall some of them:
