Car fire: what to do when you see a burning vehicle?
A car fire develops very quickly. Cars contain fuel, a great deal of plastic and a complex electrical system, so flames can engulf the entire vehicle within moments. There is also a risk of explosion and toxic smoke.
If you see a burning car, do not approach it, keep a safe distance and call the emergency services immediately.
