Police officers from Kruszyn detained a 20-year-old man who broke into an electrical switchgear station in the Gromadka municipality on 9 July and stole cables from it. The officers’ findings indicated that the perpetrator might have been electrocuted during the theft and, consequently, might be in hospital. The officers’ suspicions were confirmed: a man with injuries caused by an electric shock was admitted to one of the healthcare facilities. What is more, it turned out that the unlucky thief had another break-in at a different electrical switchgear station on his record, from which he stole plates covering inspection chambers.
The 20-year-old now faces up to 10 years in prison.
