The istotne.pl editorial office received a statement from the Polish Hunting Association concerning the roe deer collision in Bolesławiec County:

The Polish Hunting Association received information about an incident that occurred on April 14, 2026, in Bolesławiec County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

According to the police findings, a roe deer was hit by a vehicle. After assessing the situation, the hunter present at the scene decided to end the animal’s suffering. At this stage of the explanatory proceedings, the details of the incident are still being established by the relevant authorities.

The hunters added:

Actions undertaken by hunters in such situations should be carried out in accordance with applicable law and the principles of hunting ethics, with the humane treatment of animals given overriding consideration.

They also stressed:

We are currently clarifying the matter and remain in constant contact with the relevant authorities and the district board of the Polish Hunting Association in whose area the incident occurred.
