Criminal investigators arrested two men suspected of stealing fuel from a petrol station in the Zgorzelec municipality. The detainees are residents of Zgorzelec County, aged 36 and 40. The total value of the stolen fuel exceeded PLN 1,200.

– Both men have already been charged, and they pleaded guilty – says Superintendent Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the Commander of the County Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec – Additionally, the 36-year-old driver will face charges for driving a vehicle despite an active court-imposed ban.

Importantly, the suspects had previously been convicted of similar offences and had served prison sentences for them, so they will be prosecuted as repeat offenders. Under the law, they may face a sentence of up to 7.5 years in prison.
