Bolesławiec police officers determined that two men wanted by the justice system were hiding in the same place. – After determining the address where the wanted men might be staying, operational officers and officers from the Prevention Department went to the location – reports asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Wrocław KWP. – Despite loud knocking on the door and repeated calls to open it, the people inside did not react. Therefore, the officers decided to force their way inside.

While checking the rooms, police officers arrested two wanted men. The 37-year-old made an unsuccessful attempt to hide under a bed mattress, while the 40-year-old hid in the attic of the building.

The spokesperson explains:

The arrested 40-year-old resident of Lwówek County is suspected of a crime against property. The man was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant issued by German authorities for vehicle theft and was also wanted by the District Court in Złotoryja to serve a four-month prison sentence for failing to comply with the court’s decision revoking his driving licence.

These were not the only reasons why the 40-year-old was hiding from law enforcement. He was also wanted by police officers from a neighboring province in connection with participating in an assault.

The 37-year-old from Bolesławiec County, meanwhile, was wanted by the District Court for Wrocław-Fabryczna and, under the judgment issued, is to serve a sentence of 2 years and 6 months in prison for drug-related and property crimes.

Both arrested men were taken to police custody, from where they will be escorted to the appropriate penitentiary institutions.
