Driver’s comment:
I was involved in the incident that took place in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. I would like to inform you that, while driving the bus, I was travelling on a county road (a priority road) and performed a lane-change manoeuvre in accordance with the regulations and with due caution. The driver of the Renault passenger car, leaving a housing estate from a subordinate road, failed to exercise due caution and struck the side of the vehicle I was driving. During the work carried out by the police technician, I learned that the driver of the passenger car did not have a valid technical inspection, meaning that she should not have been driving such a vehicle on public roads. I did not receive any documents confirming that the case had been referred to court, only a summons for questioning at the local police station.
The incident occurred on 10 March, before 3:00 p.m., in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. Two vehicles—a bus and a Renault passenger car—collided there.
According to the police’s preliminary findings, the 33-year-old bus driver struck the aforementioned passenger car “as a result of an incorrect lane-change manoeuvre.”
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.
