Bolesławiec traffic police have suspended more driving licences for three months for exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h outside a built-up area.
The first was a 67-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County who, driving a passenger car with a trailer, was travelling at more than 130 km/h, while the permitted speed in his case was 80 km/h. He was fined and received penalty points.
The second driver to lose his driving licence was from Germany. The 59-year-old was stopped by a traffic patrol on a national road.
Police:
We remind you that failure to comply with the regulations in force may lead to serious consequences.
It adds: – In particular, a driver who grossly violates road traffic regulations may lose their driving entitlement for a period of three months.
