A very serious-looking road incident occurred on March 3 in Lubin, at the intersection of Armii Krajowej Street and Aleja Niepodległości. A BMW collided with a Volkswagen. The impact was so forceful that the former vehicle overturned.

What did the traffic police establish?

– The driver of the BMW passenger car, by failing to comply with a signal displaying permission only for a conditional right turn, drove straight ahead, causing a collision with the driver of a Volkswagen, who was correctly travelling along Niepodległości Street – explains Assistant Inspector Sylwia Serafin from the local County Police Headquarters.

Both drivers were sober. The driver of the VW was taken to hospital. The spokesperson said: – Fortunately, he did not suffer injuries that would threaten his life or health.

Police confiscated the driving licence of the 36-year-old BMW driver and submitted a motion to the court for punishment.

The officers:

We urge caution, paying attention to road signs and signals, as well as complying with traffic regulations.
