Officers of the Customs and Tax Service from the Lower Silesian Customs and Tax Office in Wrocław (DUCS), together with police officers from the County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, conducted a joint operation targeting illegal gambling.
– During the operation, the services shut down an illegal gambling venue in Bolesławiec. Four illegal gaming machines and more than PLN 10,000 originating from illegal gambling devices were secured – reports Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek from KAS.
She adds:
The officers detained 2 people, who were charged with participating in and operating illegal gambling games.

Organizing illegal gambling is punishable by a fine or imprisonment of up to 3 years, or both penalties combined. A financial penalty of PLN 100,000 is also imposed for each illegal machine. It applies both to the person organizing illegal gambling and to the owner of the premises where unregistered machines are operating.
