In Brochocin, a resident found an object in the forest resembling unexploded ordnance. The Command:

A police officer from the non-permanent bomb-disposal and pyrotechnics unit of the Złotoryja County Police Headquarters was immediately dispatched to the scene.

The officer confirmed that it was an artillery shell from World War II that posed a real threat. The officers: – The area was secured by police officers until the bomb disposal specialists arrived.

🪖 The unexploded ordnance was taken over by the Bomb Disposal Patrol from the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec and safely transported to the neutralization site.

The officers:

Under no circumstances should you:
❌ pick it up
❌ dig it up
❌ move it
❌ throw it into a fire or water.
👉 If you find such an object:
✔️ secure the area against access by unauthorized persons (especially children)
✔️ mark the area so that it is visible and easy to find
✔️ immediately notify the Police or call the emergency number 112.
