The deputy duty officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin, asp. szt. Krzysztof Pawlik, noticed a man near the station who matched the description of the perpetrator of the theft of three mobile phones. – The crime took place the previous day in one of the stores in Lubin, and the moment of the theft was recorded by the store’s surveillance system – explains junior inspector Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the local District Police Headquarters. – The police officer recognized the thief and acted swiftly. He detained the 25-year-old and immediately notified a preventive patrol, which took custody of the suspect.
Officers found one of the stolen mobile phones on the man, still in its packaging. The 25-year-old claimed that he had sold the other two devices to random people.
The Lubin resident was placed in a police cell and has already been charged.

Thanks to the exemplary conduct of the duty officer, the 25-year-old resident of Lubin will now have to answer for his actions. Investigators also established that the young man has many more such offenses to his name.
