Off-Duty Firefighters Save a Man’s Life in Bolesławiec

Three firefighters from different services, who were off duty, happened to be at the scene of an incident involving a man’s sudden cardiac arrest. Thanks to their swift reaction, composure and professionally performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the man’s vital functions were restored before emergency services arrived. This story once again shows that you are a firefighter not only while on duty, but always.

The incident occurred on January 30. Firefighters from Bolesławiec:

Thanks to the swift reaction, professionalism and composure of firefighters from our county, it was possible to save the life of a man who suffered a sudden cardiac arrest.

They add: – Uniformed corporal Hubert Magda from the Military Fire Service in Świętoszów🧑‍🚒, volunteer firefighter Radosław Pagórski🧑‍🚒 from the Volunteer Fire Service in Parowa, and senior firefighter Jakub Erhardt🧑‍🚒 from the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec happened to be at the scene while travelling during their time off and immediately began providing first aid.

Without hesitation, after finding no signs of life, they began cardiopulmonary resuscitation and continued it until the arrival of the Volunteer Fire Service from Osiecznica🚒 and the Medical Rescue Team from Bolesławiec🚑.

Thanks to their decisive actions, as well as those of the volunteer firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Service in Osiecznica and the Medical Rescue Team from Bolesławiec, the victim’s vital functions were restored. The Bolesławiec headquarters summarizes:
