The incident took place on Saturday, January 24, at one of the hotels in Karpacz. As reported by the newspaper eluban.pl:
At around 11:40 p.m., police were called to a brawl during the prom of ZSP named after Adam Mickiewicz in Lubań. According to the report, one of the participants was aggressive and attacked a man.
It turned out that the aggressor was a 19-year-old from Lubań, who had accompanied one of the female students to the prom. The Lubań-based outlet reported: – At some point, most likely in an act of jealousy, he became aggressive toward his partner and tried to forcefully take her out of the room. The girl began to shout, which one of the chaperones heard. When he intervened, he was struck in the face.
That was not the end of it. The newspaper reported: – Another man who came to help was seriously beaten. The aggressor was stopped only by the hotel security guards, whom the 19-year-old bit during the struggle.
The teenager was arrested and taken to police custody. He was drunk; his blood alcohol level was 1.5 per mille. One of the assaulted people was taken to hospital.
– Today, the 19-year-old resident of Lubań was brought before the prosecutor’s office. He was charged with causing bodily harm and forcing someone to act in a specific way. The prosecutor placed him under police supervision. The man is also prohibited from approaching the injured woman and from leaving the country – reported eluban.pl the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.
The young man faces up to five years in prison.
