The cooperation of uniformed officers from the prevention and criminal divisions resulted in four people being caught red-handed and the recovery of a vehicle worth PLN 27,000.

Acting immediately after the theft was reported, police officers recovered the stolen property, which the criminals had already begun dismantling.
How did the theft happen?
The officers explain:
A 24-year-old man found the vehicle key and located the car, which responded to the remote-control signal. He then stole the car together and in agreement with a 32-year-old man.
After breaking into the vehicle, the older man drove to pick up his friend and his girlfriend, and they then went together to an acquaintance who ran an auto repair shop.
There, while dismantling the vehicle’s first components, they were caught red-handed by officers from the Patrol and Intervention Unit.
On the basis of the evidence collected, all four were charged. A 46-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality, the workshop owner, and a 20-year-old woman will face charges of helping conceal a vehicle originating from a crime.
The 24-year-old and the 32-year-old were charged with vehicle theft with burglary, involving a vehicle worth PLN 27,000. All the suspects are residents of Bolesławiec County.Furthermore, the 32-year-old was charged with an additional 8 offenses, including 4 involving violation of a court-ordered driving ban. Under judgments issued by the courts in Bolesławiec and Gliwice, the man has been prohibited from driving vehicles since 2024.
Criminal-division officers also proved that he had committed 3 other vehicle break-ins in Bolesławiec between October and December 2025. In addition, the man was charged with burglary of an outbuilding.The penalty for theft with burglary is up to 10 years in prison, while handling stolen goods carries a sentence of up to 2 years in prison.
