At the beginning of the year, Police officers were called to an apartment in Lwówek County, where, according to the report, an intoxicated man was allegedly abusing his partner and their minor son.

According to the police findings, since 2024, while under the influence of alcohol, the man had repeatedly started unjustified domestic disputes. During them, he subjected his partner to psychological and physical violence—he humiliated, ridiculed and criticized her, as well as grabbing, choking, pushing and beating her all over her body. At the same time, he psychologically and physically abused his minor son.
The officers initiated the Blue Card procedure and detained the aggressor. The 51-year-old man was placed in a police cell. After sobering up, he was charged with abusing his family.
At the prosecutor’s request, the District Court in Lwówek Śląski ordered the suspect to be held in pre-trial detention for two months.
The crime of abuse is punishable by up to five years in prison.
