When he realised what state he was in, he thanked the officers for stopping him and for preventing a tragedy on the road.
The extremely irresponsible 41-year-old has already lost his driving privileges. He was taken to a police cell. After sobering up, he will face charges. This offence carries a prison sentence of up to three years.
Another penalty is a mandatory payment of at least 5,000 zlotys to the Fund for Assistance to Victims and Post-Penitentiary Assistance, as well as a driving ban for at least three years.
Police:
We appeal and remind you that alcohol negatively affects the human body, leading to a loss of concentration and awareness of reality. It impairs the ability to assess situations and lengthens reaction time. You must never get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol! A drunk driver poses a deadly threat to all road users. Driver, be sensible!
