Yesterday, on the roads of Bolesławiec County, officers from our KPP conducted intensified sobriety checks, checking drivers on the main routes and access roads.

The result? The police department summed it up:

Police patrols checked 248 drivers of various vehicles. Five tests produced positive results, including three cyclists who, while riding a two-wheeler while intoxicated or after consuming alcohol, committed an offence and were fined.

During the operation, two drivers lost their driving licences:

  • A 50-year-old resident of Lubań County was driving a passenger car with 0.3 per mille of alcohol in his system. The driver will face court proceedings for the offence committed.
  • In addition, an intoxicated truck driver was detained. The 55-year-old Ukrainian citizen was driving with 0.7 per mille of alcohol in his system. He will appear before the court under an expedited procedure.
