As reported by the Bolesławiec police:

Over the past three days, police officers recorded 26 road collisions on the roads of Bolesławiec County. The greatest number of dangerous situations occurred on the day when the roads were covered with snow. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, and all the incidents were classified as collisions.

One such incident occurred yesterday in Dobra. Two vehicles collided there. Officers:

The 71-year-old driver failed to give way, and two people were taken to hospital. Fortunately, they did not suffer serious injuries.

Police headquarters:

Police officers appeal for caution and concentration behind the wheel. We urge drivers to take their foot off the accelerator and adjust their speed to the prevailing conditions. Although the roads may look “black” in places, the surface remains slippery in many locations, especially at night and in the early morning.

We remind you of the need to:

  • maintain a safe speed,
  • ensure that the vehicle is in good technical condition,
  • ensure adequate visibility by thoroughly clearing snow and frost from the car before setting out.
