Bolesławiec police took part in two-day, nationwide operations aimed at determining the whereabouts of people wanted to serve prison sentences. The headquarters:
Intensive checks, operational activities and cooperation between the services led to the arrest of 8 people hiding from justice. Among them were two men who were the subject of arrest warrants issued by the courts. All the wanted people were residents of Bolesławiec County, aged between 27 and 44.
Who was arrested?
Those arrested included people convicted of driving while intoxicated, evading child-support obligations, burglary and drug-related offenses. The longest sentence is to be served by a 30-year-old resident of Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality, who will spend the next year in prison.
Two of those wanted were charged after being arrested in the act of committing further offenses. A 31-year-old was arrested with marijuana, while a 41-year-old was driving a vehicle despite a lifetime court driving ban.
Moreover, thanks to close cooperation between county police officers and officers of the Border Guard Post in Zgorzelec, two foreign nationals convicted by final court judgments were arrested in the city. The Commander of the Border Guard Post in Zgorzelec initiated procedures against those arrested aimed at deporting them from the territory of the Republic of Poland.
