From October 31 to November 3, officers of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec conducted intensified operations as part of the nationwide “Znicz 2025” campaign. Headquarters: – Their aim was to ensure the safety of everyone visiting cemeteries and travelling on the roads of our county.
During this time, traffic police officers, supported by preventive-service officers and the Military Police, watched over safety on the main routes, in the vicinity of cemeteries and on access roads to the city.
The results? During the four days of operations, Bolesławiec police officers intervened nearly 200 times throughout the county. In addition, 15 collisions occurred on the roads.
What’s more, on the last day of the “Znicz 2025” campaign, Monday morning, officers conducted intensified sobriety checks. Unit: – More than five hundred drivers were checked; in three cases, the tests returned positive results.
A 34-year-old man was detained after driving while intoxicated, with 1.3 per mille of alcohol in his system. Two other drivers, , committed an offence by getting behind the wheel after consuming alcohol. The 40-year-old had nearly half a per mille, while the 46-year-old had 0.3 per mille of alcohol in his system.
