On 22 October 2025, at around 2:40 p.m., officers from Karpacz received information about the possible hiding place of a vehicle stolen the previous day in the Czech Republic. The vehicle belongs to the Municipal Office in Pec pod Sněžkou. (The car is worth PLN 170,000.)
Command: – The findings indicated that the car might be in the area of the road leading to Dom Śląski, in difficult-to-access mountainous terrain.
The police immediately began a search, checking the tourist trails around Śnieżka.
After several hours, the officers noticed part of the vehicle’s body protruding from dense dwarf mountain pine beside Na Śnieżkę Street, along the Main Sudetes Trail.
After a thorough inspection, it turned out to be the Škoda Karoq that was being sought. The car was secured for further procedural activities. Officers: – The quick response of the Karpacz police led to the recovery of valuable municipal property.
The officers are currently investigating in detail the circumstances of the theft and the vehicle’s movement across the border.
