Police officers from the Department for Combating Crimes Against Life and Health of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica are conducting operational activities concerning organized drug crime. – The most experienced officers take part in such operations, working meticulously to reach people involved in manufacturing drugs and shut down the places where they are produced – explains Asp. Anna Tersa from the Legnica unit.
As part of intensified operational activities, police officers obtained reliable information that methamphetamine might be illegally manufactured at one of the properties in Legnica County. The spokesperson said: – Once the police had gathered all the necessary information, they immediately took action and made a dynamic entry onto the property.
Two men inside the building were subdued and arrested. The policewoman said: – The room where they were found was fully prepared for drug production. It contained a production line, as well as all the necessary precursors and auxiliary substances used to manufacture methamphetamine, and the air was filled with a strong chemical odor.
Moreover, the crystallization of a psychotropic substance was taking place on one of the burners.
The result? The Legnica police list the following:
A total of more than 43 kilograms of methamphetamine, approximately PLN 16,000 in cash, documents, and equipment used to manufacture and portion drugs were secured.
The arrested men are a 52-year-old resident of Legnica County and a 47-year-old resident of Wołów County. They were brought before the prosecutor’s office, where they were charged, among other things, with manufacturing and possessing a significant quantity of psychotropic substances. The crimes they committed could result in a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
The prosecutor has already petitioned the court to order temporary detention for the men. The officers said:

The decisive, professional, and well-coordinated actions of Legnica police officers once again show that their determination and commitment produce tangible results in combating drug crime. Thanks to their effective work, a dangerous laboratory that could have supplied huge quantities of a hazardous drug to the market was shut down.
