The incident occurred on October 18, before 4:00 p.m., on the road between Chmielno and Ustronie. As officers from Lwówek determined, the driver of the passenger car, a 41-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, lost control of the vehicle while overtaking. The car left the road and crashed into a tree.
The 41-year-old was unharmed. The passenger was seriously injured—the firefighters had to pull him out of the car using specialist equipment. The man had serious fractures and was taken to hospital.
